*  The Annual General Meeting of the UOAHC will be held on February 28, 2010 from 1 - 3 PM at the Comfort Inn, Port Hope.  Plan to attend and help out with the planning of the upcoming Provincial Championship show.

*  The results from the 2009 Provincial Championship show are now listed on the Provincial Show page.

*  EOAHC is hosting a clinic on April 24 & 25 at Rider's Haven near Peterborough. Clinicians will be Jill Rout (trail), Randy Storey (HUS/Western Pleasure), Ken Den Ouden (over fences) and Doug Mileham (What a Judge see and looks for)  Come on out and support our club and be a judge in our "Great Chili Cookoff". *   Josh Lyons is returning to Elmvale  June 4 - 13, 2010 for two clinics.  If you are looking to improve any aspect of your horse's performance, you won't want to miss participating in either the 3 Day or 5 Day Performance riding clinic. *  The Appaloosa Horse Club is pleased to announce that we’ve entered into an agreement with the Appaloosa Horse Club of Canada to allow ApHC-registered horses the opportunity to show at the Canadian National Appaloosa Show and earn ApHC points. The Canadian National Appaloosa Show will be held July 27-31 at the Westoba Credit Union ACE Arena in Brandon, Manitoba Canada. Judges for the show include Susan Robinson, James Simpson and R.J. Muir.

In most cases and where rules are consistent between the two organizations, ApHC-pointed classes will run concurrently with ApHCC classes. ApHC national points earned will be based on the number of horses in the class that are eligible to show at ApHC-approved shows. All horses registered with the ApHC will be eligible to participate in the show.

ApHCC News Release - February 8, 2010

The show committee for the 53rd Canadian National Appaloosa Horse Show, would like to announce the Canadian National Appaloosa Show will be held in Brandon,Manitoba from July 27-31, 2010. We welcome all Appaloosa enthusiasts to the show and present to you our exciting changes to the show program for the 2010 show. The 53rd Canadian National Appaloosa Show, for the first time, will be a dual approved ApHCC and ApHC show. All horses registered with the Appaloosa Horse Club of Canada and the Appaloosa Horse Club of Moscow, Idaho will be eligible to compete at the show. It will be a four pointed ApHCC show and a 3 pointed ApHC show for horses that have ApHC registration and pay the ApHC points fees. Horses that are not registered with the ApHC or choose not to earn ApHC points do not pay the ApHC points fees. The show will feature a full slate of classes, a trade fair, and the Youth Team Tournament. 

     Judges Susan Robinson, Jamie Simpson and Jim Muir will be officiating. The facility features  400 10x10 box stalls, competition ring, warm up ring, and our host hotel CanadInn all under the same roof. The prize list can be accessed on the Appaloosa Horse Club of Canada web site ( www.appaloosa.ca ) along with the information for arranging accomodations at CanadInn at the special show rate.

    The early entry deadline date is May 15, 2010 to receive the reduced pricing on stabling and class entry fees with June 15, 2010 as the closing entry date for all cattle class entries. Stabling will be on a first paid basis and limited to the capacity of the facility. Stabling reservations may be booked separate from class entries.

    United States competitors and visitors are reminded to check and be compliant with the passport and CFIA temporary horse entry requirements for international border crossing both ways between Canada and the United States.
