  • 2007 SILENT AUCTION: Raised $1137.00 for our association.  Thanks to all who purchased the items and a big thank you to all who donated them!  This is a great boost to our association!
     

  • MOST COLOURFUL AWARD: A perpetual trophy for this class was first awarded at the 2006 Provincial Show.  It was presented by the McDougall and Fletcher families in memory of their father and grandfather, Dick Fletcher.  Dick loved horses.  It didn't matter if it was a thoroughbred or a plow horse, they were all amazing animals with something unique to offer, in his eyes.  Dick loved to see Standardbreds race and he picked the winners with great regularity but would never place a bet.  He just loved to watch them race.  He was a true gentleman with a great sense of what was fair.
    Congratulations to the 2007 winner of this award, Zippo's Mystic Mia, owned by Ed Fields and Kelly Fields-Bain.
