From the UOAHC Chair
The show season is well under way
with great results from KRAHC and the OAHA's Goldrush Classic. This is a
season of wonderful new show venues for some with welcoming atmospheres and
options for everyone to show under this year with the ApHCC / ApHC
co-pointing.
In July the 2010 Goldrush Classic was held at Black's Equestrian Centre, the site of the 2000 ApHCC National Championships. End of July marks the trek West for some to the National Championships. It is our hope all attending have safe travel, good results and an enjoyable experience. The Keystone Centre and ApHCC Staff and volunteers make this a top notch competition, this year will be no exception. August will see attendance at yet another new venue, Lindsay Fair Grounds for the EOAHC's Spotacular Show. This site boasts an exceptional outdoor ring, great stables and amenities. For show related information please check out our links page for the hot link to the EOAHC web connection. And September 25 & 26 is not that far off. As I sit and write this short note we have requests for approximately 50 stalls and over 15 RV hook ups currently booked. The Silver Trophy Buckles are selected, pattern books organized, with Judges Carter, Bailey and Neff awaiting the call for the first halter class on Saturday morning. This is our 9th Annual effort and the welcome gifts, prizes and sponsorships are bound to please everyone yet again. 2010 is our second crack at an ApHCC / ApHC co-pointed event with advancements and improvements that will speed up our days as well as provide complete tabulations of placings, both sets of national points and hi point status as the show progresses. Please contact Deb early to ensure we can meet your needs at this show. While we have a great venue and 80+ stalls, ensuring we can safely accommodate stallions, weanlings and other needs always seems to be a challenge. And, lets not forget to RSVP your attendance at the Saturday Night meal provided by the Bag Ladies. 2010 has been a busy year thus far and there is still much more to come. See you at the shows Lantz
